Michael Gill's practice focus is land use and transactional real estate. His experience includes representing developers in zoning and land development matters; handling complex commercial real estate transactions for sellers and buyers; and negotiating office and retail leases for landlords and tenants. Michael's clients include some of the region's major developers as well as several municipal governments.

"(My practice) is a mixture of litigation and transactional work. You have to have a fundamental knowledge of real estate but it can be an adversarial process,"he said. "I enjoy the unique challenges each client brings to the table. The issues and procedures of each case are compelling and important."

A native of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Michael graduated from West Chester University with a B.A. degree in Political Science and an M.A. in Communication Studies at West Chester, thinking he would use his strong ability in the humanities to become a teacher. Michael earned his J.D. at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law where he was a Managing Editor of the University of Pittsburgh Law Review before graduating Cum Laude in 2000.

Michael was an Associate at Buckley from September 2001 through June 2003 when he left the Firm to practice with a large Philadelphia law firm. Mr. Gill rejoined Buckley in 2005.

Michael is a member of the Chester County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He is also a member of the Pennsylvania Bar Association Animal Rights Committee. Michael and his wife, Shelly, live in West Chester with their daughter, Sofie Rose.
