Matthew McGuire lived all over the world as a "service brat" before his family settled in Cape May County, New Jersey when he was in the seventh grade. He attended The Lawrenceville School in Princeton, New Jersey, but returned home every summer. After graduation, Mr. McGuire attended the University of Richmond where he received his degree in Economics. He then went on to earn his J.D. from Widener University School of Law.

After spending six years honing his skills as Corporate Insurance Defense Counsel for Zurich North America, Mr. McGuire joined Buckley, Brion, McGuire, Morris & Sommer, LLP. When asked about what he enjoys most about practicing law, Mr. McGuire responded, "The most rewarding aspects of litigation are appearing before the judge to advocate for my client, as well as the competent professionalism of the Chester County Bar."

A member of the Pennsylvania, Chester County and Lehigh County Bar Associations, Mr. McGuire has extensive experience in the insurance industry litigating cases involving product liability, environmental damage, motor vehicle law, contract, premises liability, service/hotel industry, construction/contractor, automotive/trucking industry, bad faith, coverage, Pennsylvania One Call, governmental immunity and eminent domain issues.

In his free time, Mr. McGuire enjoys engaging in his self-proclaimed "bad golf and good fishing." He and his wife Melani, an emergency room RN at Paoli Hospital, have two children: Hailey Joy McGuire, 4, and Connor Ford McGuire, who recently turned two.
