02/20/2010 | BUCKLEY BRION’S GLENN DAVIS NAMED DELAWARE AIR NATIONAL GUARD’S FIRST SERGEANT OF THE YEAR

West Chester, PA, February 20, 2010 – Buckley, Brion, McGuire, Morris & Sommer LLP is proud to announce that their very own Glenn Davis, a member of the 166th Civil Engineer Squadron, 166th Airlift Wing, New Castle, Del., was recently named the Delaware Air National Guard's 2009 First Sergeant of the Year.

Master Sgt. Davis, a resident of West Grove, Pa., is the First Sergeant of the 166th CES. As such he advises and assists the squadron commander, and acts as the commander’s representative in maintaining and promoting the health, morale and welfare of the enlisted force.

A traditional (part-time) military member, Master Sgt. Davis is successful, full-time practicing civil and criminal lawyer with Buckley, Brion, McGuire, Morris & Sommer LLP in West Chester, Pa.

He has prior active duty service as an officer in the U.S. Marine Corps, and later as a noncommissioned officer in the Air Force Reserve. He and four other Airmen of the Year in five total categories were recognized at the Delaware Air National Guard's Enlisted Recognition Banquet on Feb. 6, 2010.Glenn Davis.

Associate Glenn E. Davis coordinated and participated in the Annual Chester County Veterans Day Ceremony today. The ceremony took place in front of the Historic Courthouse, in downtown West Chester. As one of the coordinators of the 2009 Veterans Day Committee, Davis's ceremony responsibilities included the Parade of Colors, Tribute to POW-MIA, Reading of the Veterans' Names and various other activities. The Veterans Day program was provided by a grant from Chester County Bar Foundation. Partner Jeffrey S. Sommer resides on the board of the Chester County Bar Association.
